There are 3 main steps of faith, during a person in the Anglican Church's lifetime, which show commitment to the faith of Christianity through the Anglican Church. And there are two others, which are Marriage and Funerals
Firstly, Baptism. This is one of two sacraments that are acknowledged in the Anglican Church. Baptism is taken very seriously in the church as a way of welcoming the person into the church. The rite marks, acknowledges and celebrates the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within a person.
Secondly is the rite of Welcome to Communion. This is a step taken by children who are 7 years of age or older. In this step, they are given instruction on the sacrament of Holy Communion, and what it means to belong. They are then officially welcomed in a little service within the Holy Communion Service to acknowledge and ask for blessing by God, so they can then take Holy Communion.
Thirdly, is the rite of Confirmation. this usually happens once the young person is ready and they are over the age of 15 years and 6 months. This is a persons adult committment to their faith and 'admits' the person as a full member of the Anglican Church.
